Dos and Don'ts

Guests may explore the grounds. The venue is a farm and so all gates must be closed behind anyone passing through them (note access is not allowed to the farmyard). Access to the Mill is only allowed when guests are accompanied by an authorized representative of Gants Mill Weddings.

Smoking is forbidden in any of the buildings and structures. Cigarette butts must be disposed of in the two sand pots at the side and rear of the marquee.

By Train

Bruton is on the train line from London Paddington with First Great Western trains, with a change at Westbury.

Transport

A coach will be available to transport guests staying in Frome at 11.30pm. Drop off points will be the Premier Inn and The George Hotel / Sun Inn. When you RSVP please let us know if you would like a seat on the coach. Vehicles can be left overnight at the venue but should be collected by noon on Sunday. Please let us know when you RSVP on the website whether you would like to reserve a seat on the coach.

We will be staying overnight at Gants Mill, but unfortunately there is no further availability there, so we recommend the following for our guests:

Hotels in Frome

A coach will be available to transport guests to Frome at 11.30pm, stopping at the Premier Inn and the George Hotel / Sun Inn. We recommend that anyone who wants to continue the party stays at either the George, the Crown or the Sun Inn, as these are right in the middle of Frome. The Crown has a bar that stays open until at least 1am and there are pubs in Frome that stay open until 3am. The Premier Inn is a little further out of town.

  • Premier Inn Frome: this is a 20 minute drive north of Bruton on the A361, at Commerce Park, Jenson Avenue, Frome, Somerset, BA11 2LD. Tel 0870 850 6322. There are 44 rooms and prices are approx £60 per night for a room that can sleep up to 4.
  • George Hotel: 4 Market Place, Frome BA11 1AF. Tel: 01373 462 584. 18 rooms available, singles £45 per night and doubles £60.
  • The Sun Inn: 6 Catherine Street, Frome, BA11 1DA Tel: 01373 471913
  • The Crown Hotel: 6 Market Place, Frome BA11 1AF. Doubles £75 per night. APPARENTLY NOW FULL, though you could check for cancellations.
